The D 2.1 is an advanced pocket sized hardness tester distinguished by its high accuracy, wide measuring range, simplicity of operation & above all, its portability. It runs on two AA Batteries. It is suitable for testing the hardness of a large number of materials & finds applications for hardness testing in many areas of industry.

The Impact Type Portable Hardness Tester: The impact type portable hardness tester is designed for testing metallic materials, the hardness of which ranges from very low to very high values. Hardness testing can be performed directly on- site & in any position. Typical applications for this Impact type of hardness tester are large, heavy work pieces, which are difficult to access. It is especially suitable for applications in which static testing is not feasible or not economical.

Features of our Portable Hardness Tester Model D 2.1

      Display of hardness in various conventional scales of hardness.

      Compensation for the angle of probe with respect to vertical while testing.

      Immediate conversion between available conventional scales of hardness.

      Average result of up to nine readings can be taken with the standard deviation.

      The readings can be saved for later viewing, the max capacity being 500 readings. The readings are stored serially with the serial number being displayed. There is a batch number facility as well to distinguish the readings from batch to batch. The entire batch readings can be cleared or the batch number can be reset using specific keys.

• This is motorized machine having automatic loading/unloading cycle suitable for production testing.
• The machine body is having a taper front look and large size read-out in the front. The machine is powder coated for better look. The paint shade do not fade and machine looks like new over years.
• The elevating screw of machine is guided in a hardened and ground bush, not allowing movement of elevating screw more than 0.05 mm when raised to full height. The accuracy is retained for years together due to hardened bush.
• A hardened and ground stepped bush is fixed on top of main screw for location and rest surface. This guarantees no change in results due to rough handling of test table or test piece. It means a trouble free long life machine accuracy.
• An antifriction linear bearing with almost no clearance is provided for a perfect vertical movement of loading plunger with minimum friction. This enables testing of small dia. Pin or ball upto 3 mm dia.
• These models are provided with automatic working cycle and digital LCD display with 0.1 Rockwell resolution. This insures productivity with better accuracy.
